What is MEP

MEP stands for mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering. These three technical fields make buildings habitable. MEP installations have high interaction. Therefore, they are normally designed together. This combined approach helps to prevent design overlaps when the equipment location is in the same area. Such cases occur when plumbing engineering, electrical, and mechanical systems are designed separately.

Building codes require the customer to achieve high performance and meeting codes. Therefore, it is important to work with an experienced MEP engineering firm to get guaranteed benefits in optimizing material requirements to reduce installation costs.
